Easter Chocolate Protein Cake Pops
INGREDIENTS
For the cake pops:
- 1 cup chocolate protein powder (We used Osmo Pharma Whey Recharge- Pure Cocoa)
- 1/2 cup almond butter or peanut butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or Swerve All Natural Sweetner
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups cake crumbs (you can use crumbled chocolate cake leftovers or crushed chocolate cookies)
For decoration:
- Colored chocolate chips or sprinkles
- Mini chocolate Easter eggs
- Lollipop sticks or wooden sticks
STEPS:
-
In a large bowl, mix together the chocolate protein powder, almond butter (or peanut butter), maple syrup (or Swerve), vanilla extract, and salt until a homogeneous paste forms.
-
Add the cake crumbs to the paste and mix until the cake crumbs are well incorporated and the mixture is firm enough to form balls.
-
Take portions of the mixture and roll them between your hands to form golf ball-sized balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
-
Insert a lollipop stick or wooden stick into each cake pop, making sure they are firmly inserted.
-
Place the cake pops in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up.
-
Meanwhile, prepare your decorations by melting colored chocolate chips or preparing other decorative elements.
-
Once the cake pops are cooled and firm, dip them in the melted chocolate to coat them completely. Gently shake off the excess chocolate and immediately decorate them with mini chocolate Easter eggs, colored chocolate chips, or sprinkles.
-
Insert the cake pops into a suitable holder (e.g., a polystyrene block or a container filled with rice) to allow them to dry completely.
-
Once the chocolate has hardened, your Easter chocolate protein cake pops are ready to be enjoyed! Serve them at your Easter celebration for a delicious and festive treat.
